Honest Review: Restoran Hari Aum, Little India, Melaka

Hello, I am travel blogger Jones Go. Today, I will share with you an honest review of Restoran Hari Aum (Little India Melaka) that I visited during my trip to Melaka. I have always been curious about Indian food, so I decided to try Indian food in Malaysia, and I mustered up the courage to visit this place.

This restaurant sells authentic Indian food. I have always been curious about Indian food, and in fact, there are many places to experience Indian food in Malaysia. However, it is not easy to visit an Indian restaurant without a challenging spirit due to cleanliness issues and strong spices. However, this time, I thought I should try it once, so I did. To tell you the conclusion first, I had diarrhea after eating the food.

Why did I try Indian food?

In fact, Indian food is not something that is easy to try because of strong spices and cleanliness issues. However, this time, I mustered up the courage to visit Restoran Hari Aum because I really wanted to experience it once. I especially wanted to try the cheese naan, but thanks to the friendly waiter, I was able to gain courage and enter the restaurant.

I hesitated a lot before entering this restaurant, whether to order or not, but the waiter in charge of serving was very friendly, so I went in. I also came in because I really wanted to eat cheese naan. However, the cheese naan I wanted didn't come out until I finished eating other dishes, so I had to give up ordering.

Friendly waiter and disappointing cheese naan

The waiter was really friendly and helped me choose the menu. However, the cheese naan I was looking forward to didn't come out until I finished eating other dishes, so I ended up having to cancel my order.

Menu introduction and taste evaluation

The food I ordered was as follows. BANANA LEAF CHICKEN served in a banana leaf bowl and the lamb dish, which has a spicy seasoning with lamb as the main ingredient, and while eating, I ordered a lamb dish that tasted like this if you added spicy seasoning to Korean rib seasoning and Indian spices. I also ordered cheese naan, but it didn't come out, so I'll leave it out. First of all, the main dish, BANANA LEAF CHICKEN, was very generous. When I went to other Indian restaurants and ate, the portions were also generous, and this place also served generously. If you go to an Indian restaurant when you are really hungry or want to eat a lot, you can get a great sense of satisfaction. The four sauces provided were perfect, and the three other dishes served as side dishes, mixed with each curry sauce and other sauces, were enough to feel the charm of India.

I remember the lamb seasoning dish costing around 6 ringgit. This menu was recommended by the waiter, and it was very spicy. However, it was delicious. If you like lamb, you will enjoy it, and even if you don't like lamb, you will enjoy it because it doesn't have the unique lamb smell. I think this restaurant has a special secret to getting rid of the smell.

BANANA LEAF CHICKEN: The chicken curry served in a banana leaf was very generous. The four sauces and various side dishes provided together allowed me to fully experience the charm of Indian food. Especially, the curry sauce was really delicious when mixed with rice.

Spicy lamb dish: The lamb dish recommended by the waiter was spicy but had no gamey smell at all, so it was really delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes lamb.

Honest experience: Is there a relationship between Indian food and diarrhea?

Unfortunately, I got diarrhea after eating this food. Even for me who usually enjoys spicy food, this food was quite spicy, and I think this may have caused my diarrhea.

I wonder why I always get diarrhea when I eat Indian food. I think it's probably because Indian food is usually spicy. I usually enjoy eating Buldak Bokkeum Myeon or Shin Ramyun, and I can't live without pepper, green pepper, and Vietnamese pepper, but the Indian food I ordered today was just as spicy, and it's a bit strange that I got diarrhea after eating Indian food. Anyway, I hope you take care of your stomach and intestines on hot days.

Conclusion: Honest advice for travelers to Restoran Hari Aum, Little India, Melaka

Restoran Hari Aum is a place where you can enjoy delicious Indian food, but those who are weak to spicy food should be careful. Especially in hot weather, you should be more careful about hygiene.
